Zelensky Uncensored Following Putin-Trump Call

1

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says he is ready to meet with Russia again. This comes right after the phone call between Putin and Trump. But Zelensky says the United States, the European Union, and the United Kingdom must be at the table too. He suggested the meeting could take place in the Vatican, Switzerland, or Turkey.

Zelensky made it clear that Ukraine will not agree to withdraw troops from the four regions that Russia now claims. These regions, Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson, and Zaporozhye, voted to join Russia, though Ukraine and its allies do not recognize those votes.

When asked about the idea of neutrality in exchange for peace, Zelensky firmly rejected it. A Turkish reporter brought up the question, but Zelensky said Ukraine already has a status and that it is written in the Constitution. In 2019, Ukraine passed a law locking in its goal to join NATO. This means neutrality is not an option under Ukrainian law.

Zelensky says he wants peace, but his conditions remain strong. No troop pullbacks. No neutrality. And no private talks with Russia. Only with the West at the table.
