Trump Must Accept The U.S. Can Nolonger Rule By Force or By Bribery
Washington Is Running Out Of Road
The United States government, under both Democrats and Republicans, is not conducting foreign policy anymore, it is waging global domination strategy. That’s the plain truth laid out by Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, a former Reagan official, who lays the blame for today’s chaos squarely on Washington. He argues that this isn’t about democracy or security. It’s about hegemony. The neoconservative agenda that took root after the collapse of the Soviet Union believes the U.S. must prevent the rise of any power that could challenge its dominance, whether that be Russia, China, or Iran.
This agenda is what caused the Ukraine war. “The US started this war.” The U.S. overthrew the Ukrainian government in 2014, built up the Ukrainian military, and forced Russia’s hand by supporting attacks on the Russian-speaking Donbass region. The war, was meant to provoke Russia into a conflict that could be used to weaken it militarily and economically through sanctions and attrition. The entire Western media narrative, blaming Russia, is a staged show. A lie. A cover-up for a war Washington wanted.
The real goal now is to “sequence” wars. First Ukraine, then China. That’s the view pushed in a recent Foreign Affairs article by Wes Mitchell, a former Trump official. The Biden and Trump administrations alike want to get out of Ukraine, not for peace, but to free up resources for confrontation with China. Europe will be expected to pick up the tab and the troops in Ukraine while the U.S. pivots to Asia. And China, seen as the bigger threat, is next in line.
The problem is, none of this makes sense strategically. The U.S. cannot beat China or Russia in a conventional war. The populations and industrial capacities are too large, and neither country is likely to back down. He warns that a real war with Iran, which would drag in Russia and China, could result in the outright military defeat of the U.S., unless the nuclear button gets pushed, which opens the door to a catastrophe no one walks away from.
Russia, particularly President Putin, has shown tremendous restraint. Russia could have won in Ukraine quickly but chose not to because Putin wanted a diplomatic settlement with the West, a new Yalta-type agreement to redraw the post-Cold War map peacefully. That offer was flatly rejected. Washington doesn’t want peace. It wants submission. And that’s not going to happen.
The United States is trying to control the global narrative through propaganda. These so-called peace negotiations are a sham, used only to justify future military moves. It’s all optics, not genuine diplomacy. Meanwhile, the domestic military is in decline. Recruitment is weak, health is poor, and most men of fighting age aren’t fit for service. Yet Washington keeps talking tough, promising wars it has no manpower or industrial base to sustain.
There’s also the issue of Israel and its influence on U.S. policy. Washington has destroyed the Arab world for Israel’s benefit, Libya, Iraq, Syria, all flattened. All Arab countries are under Washington's thumb, totally subdued and subservient. The last Arab heavyweight left is Saudi Arabia, and even they look uneasy. Washington's attempt to drag Iran into a war is partly about cutting China off from its oil supply and partly about pleasing Israel. But again, a war with Iran is not something the U.S. can win. Iran has strong air defenses, powerful missiles, and the backing, tacit or not, of both China and Russia.
The central theme is that Washington is running out of road. Its policies are based on an outdated fantasy of dominance, not the hard reality of today’s multipolar world. The U.S. keeps betting that threats, sanctions, and proxy wars will keep challengers in check. But those bets are backfiring. Russia is stronger and more independent because of the sanctions. China is building alliances and infrastructure across the globe. And Iran has become a pivotal player in resisting Western encroachment.
If there’s a chance for stability, it lies in rejecting the hegemony doctrine. If Trump or any future leader truly wants peace, they must admit that the world is no longer unipolar. They must accept that the U.S. cannot rule by force or by bribery. But right now, that’s not happening. Both parties in Washington are hooked on the same delusion: that the world must bend to American will. That’s not foreign policy. That’s empire. And empires always fall when they overreach.
Nothing said here is a conspiracy theory, it’s a sobering account of decisions made over decades. And it’s a warning: if Washington keeps pushing, the next war won’t be a proxy war in Ukraine or another drone strike in the Middle East. It will be something much worse, something global, possibly nuclear, and definitely devastating. Time’s running out to change course. But don’t expect the people in power to admit that. They’re too busy playing empire to see the collapse coming.
